I haven’t started pumping just yet with baby number 2, but with my first I actually found I got the most milk by using a Hakka on the opposite boob while baby fed. I got way more than when I pumped separately, probably because baby was stimulating milk on other boob. But it’s low effort too which makes it easier!
@Catherine sorry but what is a Hakka? 🙈
Hey, my partner and I used expressed breast milk from the very first start for exact reasons: it’s SO exhausting 😅. There are probably different ways how you can do it, but I mix it up, depending on how long the stretch was from previous breast feeding: sometimes I pump one breast whilst she is feeding from the other, sometimes I pump both breasts whilst my partner is feeding her the bottle. Don’t know if that makes sense? My 5 weeks old is having 4 oz, but I think it varies from baby to baby. My midwife told me to not worry too much, if she is hungry feed her, if she had too much she will be sick 😅. But my little girl definitely lets me know if she is still hungry. Don’t know if that was hopefully. x
