Hello everyone, At which week have you finished packing your hospital bag. I am 26 weeks, just confused when and where to start.
I am due in 3 weeks and I’m thinking about having an c-section. Anybody tell me about their experience with having an c-section like the recovery and the process.
38 weeks today and woke up at 1 am with period like cramps. Every 7-8 minutes and about 30 seconds in length. Lost mucus plug about 4 hours later and still having leakage. How do I know if real contractions? It’s been 10 hours and no change in strength or frequency.
Hello everyone I was wondering what are the main reasons people pick to have elective c sections, and was also wondering if anyone has any personal experience they would feel comfortable sharing as I’m looking into making my birth plan soon and not sure what I want to do! Do you still get to hold ur baby near enough...
Moving to the area and wondering what people’s experience has been of WHH maternity please xx
Hi all! Looking to find out how people found giving birth at Medway, I’ve heard a few things now that are making me cautious of choosing to give birth there but I’m not sure if I’ve only heard the bad and it’s actually okay. This is my first and I’m feeling anxious about making the right choice of hospital! TIA 😊
Hi Mama, I am currently 34 weeks with 3rd baby. First was virginal birth at 41+1, second baby was born via (emergency c-section due to fetal distress) at 41+2 at 9cm dilation. I have had a VBAC consultation and been told the risks and benefits, but I would rather hear people's personal experiences than statistics. ...
Aaaaanddd we are still pregnant! I had contractions the day of my due date for a few hours but they stopped around 2 AM and have just had Braxton hicks since then :/ feeling so so impatient and just really want it all to happen naturally without having to induce. Any words of encouragement? I wish there were proven ...
So I had an induced labor first kid no complications. I had postpartum depression and the idea of a midwife is very appealing for emotional support throughout this pregnancy but I worry if I get complications would there be a doctor to step in if things get bad ? How does it work ? What are your experiences?
I think baby might be making an early appearance as things have change ever since I lost some of my mucus plug this morning 😅
Has anyone had an elective c section before, what’s the process and at how many weeks do you usally get the date given for the section?
Hi ladies Just looking for some info - for mama's who have had elective c-sections how long did you stay in hospital for?
Without going into the full story, i thought i was going into labour last night and had an absolute panic that we don’t have any hospital bag bits bought, yet alone packed! Equally we don’t have anything for baby as we have been waiting for Black Friday! 😱 Obviously it wasn’t labour (thank god) but now i am super…
38+2 past few days I've had severe period like pains and the feeling of needing to poop. Through the night these have been more intense to the point i can't move or talk through them. Is labour progressing?
Hearing mixed things about being sent home with and without pain medication in the uk. I’ll be having my baby in Whiston hospital near Liverpool. What should I expect?
If you did, when did you start? And did you think it was helpful?
Hi guys, so last night I lost some of what looked like my mucus plug. Didn’t think much of it but overnight I’ve had awfully painful backache and then cramping since around 5am this morning. They come and go and aren’t extreme. They just feel like bad period cramps that last around 15-30 seconds. I’m unsure over wh...
Hello Mamas! Has anyone been GBS positive and declined the iv antibiotics during labor? How was your experience if so? My midwife said it is ultimately up to us, but we would have to stay at the birth center 48 hours for observation if declined.
Just want to say good luck to anyone who’s not had their November baby yet. I was due on Tuesday 12th but yesterday on the 10th my waters broke with an almighty pop that woke my 1 year old that was sleeping next to me. Within minutes. Contractions started. I was convinced at that point she was coming as they were so...
For various reasons it’s looking like I’m going to have to pick an elective c-section for the delivery of our baby. I was just wondering if mums who have had a C-Section wouldn’t mind sharing their experience? I’m trying to get as much information as possible!
