Braxton Hicks??

I just went in for reduce movements, whilst being monitored, my uterus movement/contractions were going up very regularly. Before the midwife left she said the line should pretty much stay flat, after monitoring for 45 minutes you can see it would massively increase every few minutes and I could feel a pressure when...

I believe I am also now staring to lose some of my mucous plug. Colour slightly on the brown/fleshy side. I have my 40+2 midwife appt tomorrow and I will be offered a sweep. Iā€™m g...

Second pregnancy after C-section with large baby

Does anyone know the protocol for a second pregnancy in the UK (at St Thomasā€™ Hospital) if someone previously had an emergency C-section with a large baby (9lbs 11oz)? Do they encourage VBAC or tend to lean towards another C-section? Is there any additional consultation to go over the history of the first pregnancy ...

Hospital birth

Question - in a hospital birth setting with say a midwife are you able to decline getting an IVā€™s? Since itā€™s ā€œhospital policy ā€œ? Is this necessary. What is in it??

Had to share

Had a C-section in February 2023. Emergency as babyā€™s head was just not in the right position and Iā€™d been 4cm for 12 hours. Otherwise a ā€œnormalā€ pregnancy. I was 41+1 when I had him. What are the chances for a vaginal birth? Do I have to fight for this? Iā€™m UK based if that helps šŸ©·šŸ’™

Elective C Section

How likely is it for a consultant to allow you to have an elective c section? I have really bad anxiety about birth, chronic UTIs and I feel like I have a weak pelvic floor anyway due to leaking wee/not being able to hold my wee and having painful sex. Iā€™m worried they will turn around and decline one. Iā€™m only 13...
