So my bub is turning 9months tomorrow and am looking to get back to work in November. Please dont judge, am really not sure what I am looking for. So I want to send him to nursery for 2days a week but not sure where to look for. Everyone says, I can claim for free 15 or 30 hours. Firstly, where are they getting th...

Has anyone else had an office risk assessment done for their pregnancy? If so, what are some helpful things you have asked for/your job has provided? I am already considering asking for a birthing ball to sit by my desk, and something I can use to elevate my legs. Any other ideas would be appreciated!
Hi guys, trying to navigate the paid parental leave - good news managed to get an approval however my first pay has full deduction saying it’s getting paid to CSC Australia….. anyone knows what that means. Tried calling the help line (call went no where lol) and I’m still recovering from C-section so can’t make the ...
I’m on Uc but my partner earns 20k a year
I’ve gone back to work this week full time because of finances but it’s also a new job because I was made redundant on mat leave. I’m really struggling. I miss my son so much. Will it get easier? I’m only on day 3 but I feel so depressed
Is anyone here involved in dropshipping? I'm interested in learning more about it, but I'm a bit lost with the different markets, and there are a lot of costs associated, so I need to understand it better!
I’m 22 weeks pregnant and I’m unsure of who to contact with pregnancy related health problems. For example, my back pain is quite bad and I’ve been having watery discharge. The only midwife number I’ve been given is maternity triage and obviously these aren’t emergencies. Do I go through my doctor and request to see...
I’m a science related graduate and work in healthcare in the NHS, but since having my baby I’ve been dreading to go back to work and leave my baby for long hours and night shifts, it’s virtually impossible. I was wondering does anyone have recommendations for working from home jobs that can fit the qualifications or...
How do you make it work when on £0 pay? What does your partner put in or do differently? What systems do people use? We are at lockerheads because apparently I should be somehow funding myself - despite the only reason I’m losing my usual salary is to be off looking after our child.
Hi there, I’m reaching out to see if there are any other Intel Moms? Or mom whose partners work at Intel. My husband and I both work at Intel and find socializing is a little easier with that shared work experience. We promise we won’t always talk about work but some common ground is nice.
I am really fortunate I got the year off with my little one. I am returning to work next week and will be in the office three full days one at home. My little one will be with my mum (who she adores) and two days in childminder who is lovely. I am struggling with the feelings of guilt that I will be leaving her but...
Hi! I am due to give birth in October and go on MAT leave at the end of September, I get 6 weeks at 90% rate then the rest SMP. Does anyone know what kind of benefits I will receive/how much roughly? I am really stressing out about how I am going to survive. I will be a single parent living on my own (council re...
I have just found out I am pregnant with my second child. I am just about to qualify as a registered nurse and commence my first post. I am terrified about telling my new employer, also I am not sure if I will be entitled to maternity pay
Does anyone know how this works please? How long does it take to hear back from them after sending the forms off? I’ve filled out and sent the forms off and my matb1 I think about a month ago now and haven’t heard anything yet. I’m not sure if I’ll definitely get it but would I hear back from them whether it’s a yes...
I’m in my second trimester, I work for an agency doing admin work. Today I called In sick because my body was hurting feeling drained and I have an on going headache! I don’t think I’ll be able to go In because I’m still feeling the same! I’m contracted until December 31st. When I was in my first trimester I ha...
I’m 34 wks, organising maternity leave etc and starting to really freak out about finances. We have a 19 month old so I haven’t been able to earn much or get a lot of gov support because we have a tiny bit of savings — which is actually getting eaten up by childcare, cost of living, maternity etc We live in londo...
I’m currently a stay at home mom to a 2 year old and have another baby on the way. But we are struggling financially and have debt that needs to be paid off. Do you guys have any suggestions on what we could do or any side hustles?
I feel like I'm drowning. I worked my ssa off to get a promotion the past few months. I was so happy and excited to have a significant bump in pay so things won't be so tight in our household, only to be slapped with higher bills. The same day I received my higher check, I log on to pay my mortgage and to my shock ...
I know child benefit can be backdated 3 months. Is that 3 months from when you make the claim? I made the claim in May and they still haven’t processed it yet. Does that mean my first payment would be 6 months to include the three months backdated and the three months since i claimed?! (my daughter is 2). thanks!
