Got to leave them at their carers for 7:30 to get to a job as early as possible (self employed cleaner) and I just can’t be feckin arsed. They’re still asleep, I dread the morning routine and so today, I’m leaving later and letting the demons sleep a bit longer. Considering going school hours only 😭
Nurseries/childminding are usually weekdays, right? Where are you sending your child on weekends if you have to work & have no one to look after them on weekends?

For those who are first time parents.
Would you put your 2 year old into school? Ex. They have to go 6 hrs in total, and you’re still going to university. Why?Why not?
Would you guys pick a young nanny or older nanny??
Hi mums! My partner and I will be moving to Sidcup with our little girl in the new year and she’ll be attending nursery from next summer. Does anyone have any recommendations for nurseries in the area? 😊
For all those waiting to meet their babies - shall we distract ourselves with some nursery inspo? Here’s my changing corner 🐋🐳 The little framed handwriting on the wall belongs to his dad, I took a copy of it from his childhood notebook and framed it 🥰
Someone I follow on Instagram was saying she’s picked a school that she knows lots of her daughters preschool friends are going to, because that’s important. Has this been something that you’ve factored in when picking a school? I’m worrying now that I’ve not chosen a school that lots of the nursery children or my ...
Anon because I know someone in this group and our decision to move is not public knowledge yet! My husband and I have decided to move back to his home country of England. The family are all in the Southampton area so we’re headed back there. I’m Aussie and have lived in the UK before - but not with a Bub! Our daug...
So I work Monday to Thursday Friday being my nonworking day which I don’t get paid for and I’m very lucky to have that time with my two-year-old and 10 month old. My boss has asked me to arrange childcare so I can go to my Work Christmas meal on a Friday. I am so annoyed as I can do any other day but that. I don’t w...
Hi Mums, How are you managing with job and day care. My baby is 6 months and I am freaking out already to send her to day care at 9 months. I mean, is it worth sending baby to daycare at that age? Will they look after baby well? Thinking its just a job for them. Sorry! I'm first time mum, have no idea about daycare...
So as mentioned a few days ago I have my heart set on this school and we are very lucky with the schools that we have in my area, so isn't even bad if we don't get our first choice, but obviously it would be the best thing to get in to our preferred school. Anyway, I was wondering if someone could explain this to me...
Does anybody have any experience, good or bad, with Stepping stones day nursery? In particular, the one in Rothwell? Would you send your 1 year old there? TIA
Does anyone have any children that have gone or go to Keresley grange primary school? Don’t know if anyone whose children go here so it’s difficult to make an opinion!
Thank you
Uk Liverpool based, my little one was 3 in September when and how do I apply for reception/school ? Currently in a private nursery not attached to a school or reception. Starting to panic as people saying o should have or should be looking and applying 😬. Thanks
If you can share the nursery name too that would be helpful but don’t worry if you prefer not to! Just doing some research as the nursery my little one goes to, charges about £38 a day for consumables and food on funded days so we aren’t really saving much with government help which is a shame! Thanks so much! X
How long is your LO at daycare? We had our first day today and it’s so hard not to pick him up early because he goes to bed by 7, and I feel like I have no time with my baby now.
Could someone please help explain how the free 15 hours childcare works? I’m currently on Mat leave until end of Dec by then my baby will be 11 months. I’m still off work till February due to annual leave but would like to try and get baby to do childcare 1/2 days a week to get her used to it before it’s full time...
