If you can share the nursery name too that would be helpful but don’t worry if you prefer not to! Just doing some research as the nursery my little one goes to, charges about £38 a day for consumables and food on funded days so we aren’t really saving much with government help which is a shame! Thanks so much! X
How long is your LO at daycare? We had our first day today and it’s so hard not to pick him up early because he goes to bed by 7, and I feel like I have no time with my baby now.
Could someone please help explain how the free 15 hours childcare works? I’m currently on Mat leave until end of Dec by then my baby will be 11 months. I’m still off work till February due to annual leave but would like to try and get baby to do childcare 1/2 days a week to get her used to it before it’s full time...
When did you guys start looking at nurseries for your babies? I know waiting lists are super long these days so I want to get his name down.
Good evening all beautiful mum. My son is 22 months now and I have been looking for the nursery for him. I know there is the government fund for free 15 hours. I don’t know how this works. I found the nursery that we like for him to go to. The nursery said I need to get the code. Where can we get the code? How or ...
Hi all, I’m due to go back to work 1st February and my LO will be going to nursey. When do I need to apply for the 15 hours. It all seems so confusing online. I just need to get this right and worried I’ll either be too early or too late to apply. T.I.A Mumma’s xx
Anyone who’s baby goes to nursery 2 days a week (20 hours) and use 15 hours free and tax free childcare. How much do you pay a month? Trying to work out if my nursery is over charging. Thanks. ☺️
Hi all… can anyone recommend a good childminder please (and why you like them)…. Preferably in the Moreton/Hoylake/Upton area. Many thanks in advance xx
Has everyone made their school choices yet or are we just really begind ? Not going to look at schools until November I know it doesn't matter when you make your choices as long its before the deadline
I want to start trying for my second baby but daycare is $2400 a month here and we are already stretched. My husband and I are hoping for promotions / career changes soon to up our income. But how do you all make it work to have kids close to each other if you’re both working parents? Thank you for your advice. ❤️ m...
Hey guys does anyone know how UC for child care works? I reported that my baby was starting nursery at the end of this month last month to them and I sent them all the payments invoices but I just checked my account now they haven’t paid the money in for child care 😭what do I do

I m single parent and I struggle with guilt if sending my child to breakfest club and then childminder in after school..I don't know what to do but i need to work and my lack of confidence and anxiety doesn't let me go through interviews to get more flexible job..i feel bad,I never pick her up from school.its so hard..
Please can someone explain how to do the payment for the 15 hours childcare please? Explain like I'm a child cuz I'm finding this process so complicated. I'm signed in to my childcare account.. Do I pay from MY bank account & then the money shows up on the website & then goes to the childminder? I only applied las...
I’ve just enrolled my son in nursery, on the registration form there was no option to specify half days. I’d want him to do half days as we don’t need nursery for childcare, only for the socialisation and getting ready for school aspect. I sent a follow up email to specify that we only want to use his funded hours &...
Where do I start with applying for Nurseries? I have checked and am eligible for the 15 hours free but where do I start with this process?
We’ve paid deposit. We haven’t yet been invoiced for the month, however my LO has done 2 of the 4 half days last week and then got sick and needed to take the rest of the days off. We also now have got new plans for my husbands work trip at the end of the 4 weeks so I feel it’s a big waste of money to put her in for...
First choice school sorted, but out of catchment, so a bit risky in terms of securing a spot. For second choice, the local primary makes sense but we don’t love it... I work in an academy trust and there’s a school over the other side of the town that’s in my trust. I used to work there, it’s a better fit for my son...
Can anyone share experience of changing nursery because you weren’t comfortable..?
