Returning SMP back to the company?

Hi guys, I was wondering if I’ll have to return the SMP money to my company if I choose not to work with them after my maternity leave is finished. On the UK gov website, it’s written that I don’t have to return the maternity pay but wanted to double check here if anyone’s employer had asked to return.

Ferber/CIO

I am on day 4 of attempting Ferber, but the check ins seem to cause more harm than good for my baby. I hate letting her cry, but she won’t stop crying if I keep going in. Anyone here have experience with CIO that didn’t absolutely hurt your heart

SDI vs PFL

Hi I was wondering if you can apply for both sdi and pfl or is there a time frame where I can use the sdi/pfl and use the other right after? Basically i dont know which to apply for first bc my job doesn’t offer paid maternity leave and making that extra little income would help so much! Thanks! 😊

Maternity Leave

I’m currently just under 30 weeks pregnant, and am thinking about when to take my maternity leave. I get nine months off with SMP, however will be returning to work on a part time basis due to strongly not wanting to send baby to nursery. My partner will be financially supporting us. When do most start their leave? x

Work From Home?

Hey everyone, I am currently expecting in the next few months and have 3 children already. My job has cut my hours drastically! I’m talking from 35-40 hours a week to 15 hours a week. It’s hard to look for another job as of right now because, well, no one is going to hire a pregnant woman who is due in the next...

Work

What’s everyone doing with regard to going back to work. I’ve got until the end of this month to let my employer know but I’m still so undecided. I’m also self employed so will still have money come in, just not enough at the moment to cover all costs 🤦🏼‍♀️

Traveling Abroad at 22 weeks

I’m going on holiday to Greece for a week with my husband, and wondered if anybody else had traveled abroad at a similar time of pregnancy? If so, is there a special kind of insurance I need to take out for pregnancy, or is it just standard holiday insurance with medical cover? Hopefully, I won’t need it, but would ...

SAHM? WFHM? Working mom?

Whats your plan after birth?? I go back and forth almost daily. We can afford it, but I enjoy my career. I’m nervous about what it would do for our retirement, and we’d have to dial back our lifestyle a bit. And honestly I’m a lil nervous I’d be bored.
