did you know if your sweep was going to work? I’ve had my first successful sweep today and obviously have had some spotting and crampy/ braxton hicks feelings but does that mean I’ll have a baby in the next couple of days? 😂🙈…
I had my first baby via emergency C-section, and then 1 year later got pregnant. Baby number 2 is due in 3 months, so thinking more about birth plan. I am very nervous about a vaginal birth after C-section due to the risk of uterine rupture - I know the chances are so so slim, but I think if I attempt a VBAC, ruptur...
Hi I’m just curious how long did it take to physically recover after your section? It’s my second section and I’m a week post partum. I’m feeling better but still headaches, dizzy tired etc. been seen by the dr so nothing serious but just wondering when did you feel more physically you again? (Aside from all the ra...
Hi all, I'm in the process of gathering bits for my hospital bag and getting stuffs for my postpartum care but I'm so confused on what to get. Pads? Pants? Which is best? What brands would you recommend? Also, all the perineal foam, ice cooling pads, what do they do? Does it mean I get to wear ice cooling pads in ...
Hi I’ve started to notice that I’m having a lot of watery discharge which has no smell and I’m concerned that maybe my fluids are leaking but I’m only 26 weeks pregnant so I’m wondering if anyone else has had this or just me and what I should do
I’m 40+2 and I’ve never had a Braxton hicks contraction, no signs of even period pain really. Had 2 sweeps and midwife literally told me she could’ve broken my waters and my bishops score was 8. Cervix is soft and dilated to about 2cm. I have no pain whatsoever and no indication of labor at all Has anyone else has ...
I am having a planned C section at city soon. I have been told to arrive for 7am (as I assume everyone has). Has anyone had one there recently and could give me any idea of what the timings on the day could be like? I know it depends a lot in emergency sections on the day also.
I’m reading a lot here about doctors wanting everyone to be induced before their 40 weeks, and it seems not for emergency reasons!? They wanted to induce me a couple days ago for elevated BP due to anxiety but I told them no! It’s been fine since then. I told them I’d consider it later so they scheduled me for induc...
It’s not always like this, it comes and goes, is it normal?
After how long should one get pregnant after the first cs-section.
Birth partners will be able to stay overnight from October 1st!
What are peoples thoughts or experiences of a home birth for first pregnancy? Currently a low risk pregnancy and thinking about options. Thanks
Hello! Has anyone had an elective c section at NSECH? How was your experience if so? And do you know if they have particular days of the weeks or times they schedule for?
Lost my mucus plug yesterday and a bit more this morning - my tummy has been feeling rock solid and I’m having to pee a lot more than usual due to the pressure down below! Out of curiosity, how long after losing your mucus plug did you go into labour? I understand it can vary
Hello ladies! We’ve opted for an elective C section for the arrival of our little girl, for any mummas who have had or are having a C section, how have you been preparing?🥰
So I just had a sudden gush of liquid come out when I was moving around n changing my toddler, it was enough to dampen my underwear and the panty liner I had on as well as creating a tiny wet patch where I was sitting. So not a lot but it doesn't smell or look like pee, doesn't have much of a smell maybe even slight...
I started contracting at home and went into labor on my own at 37 weeks 1 day! It came on fast and was way different than my first induced & vacuum assisted delivery. Only tore to the 2nd degree instead of a fourth like last time. Thank goodness for epidurals. Pushed entirely on my own! So happy 🥲
Hello All, I am in the middle of packing my hospital bag. I’ve got the basics but I’m worried that I am missing things. Does anyone have any ideas of things that are not always obvious? Also what sort of things are good to take as snacks. Thank You!
We've just recently found our we're expecting our 2nd. We live away from family (hour and half away). Not only this but my family are going to be abroad during my estimated due date. I'm worried who will be able to look after my 2 Yr old when I give birth . I want my partner there but obviously my 2 year old needs...
Hello! I’m pregnant with my second baby - due next week actually. My April 2022 baby was an emergency c section following a failed induction and so I’ve got a choice of whether to opt for an elective c section or natural birth. I was leaning towards a natural birth but I have a provisional c section date booked al...
