What is the best hospital to give birth around our area? I had a terrible experience last week in St Peter’s hospital A&E and I’m considering to have my baby in another hospital. I spotted hygiene problems also an unprepared medical team.. it got me some concerns. I’m having a planned c-section birth and would l...
Arrived last night at 9pm, after 20 mins of active labour 🥹 very traumatic birth experience and won’t be birthing in a hospital again that’s for sure but Baby girl is well, safe & we arrived home just 4 hours after birth 🩷 6lb 9oz and born at 39+1 🩷
So 7 months ago i had to have an emergency c section. Baby was a prem baby and was laid transferred and other issues. Last week I found out I am pregnant again. Would I need another c section
Sorry if this has been asked a million times but I can’t figure out how to search in this group. I’m due in April 2025 with baby #2 and I honestly had a horrendous time on the post-delivery ward at the Women’s. The whole ward was so rowdy and so noisy that I was shattered after being awake for nearly 3 and a half ...
I’m not due til March but just wanting to know are your little ones allowed to come see you and the baby after you’ve had it or is it just adults? I’m having my little one at Leeds General Infirmary x x
I’ve been trying everything to kickstart labor, and of course I ended up down a rabbit hole on tiktok! In one of the videos I watched, this woman didn’t want to get sent home from the hospital so she went to the restroom and did the “exercise movement” and it broke her water. I’ve been doing said “movement” for the ...
I’ve just wiped and had a bit of mucus that has come away, I’m 35 weeks tomorrrow- is this somthing I need to be contacting triage about? I’m getting minor like period pains but they’re not painful just uncomfortable- just a bit unsure if I need to mention it to anyone or not 🤣
Our baby girl Orla arrived at 36 weeks on the 05/11 weighing 4lb 5oz. She was born early via c section as I developed bad pre eclampsia and scans showed the water around her had also reduced. We are still in hospital but hope to be discharged this weekend ❤️
Last night my partner made me laugh ALOT and then a few minutes later i noticed i had a big wet patch on my pj’s🙈 is this normal or could it have been my waters?
Was it quicker? I feel like a lot of stories I hear are first time births. And I'm incredibly hoping the second one is a lot faster! I would love to hear your experience for your second baby that you were induced for because they were refusing to come out. Thank you so much in advance ☺️♥️
Hey all, I’m 36 weeks today and this is my first pregnancy. I’m curious to know what the mucus plug/bloody show looks like. I had a cervical check today and when I got home I have really dark blood on my underwear, probably about a quarter size of it. There was also like a blood clot looking thing in it and same wit...
My daughter was born via emergency C-section last night....wasn't in the birth plan so never read up on it lol 🙈 any tips for recovery? Midwives just seem to tell you the bare minimum. My husband has 2 weeks off work, would it be better for him to take 6 weeks? I have a 3 yr old and was told not to lift anything…
"Hi Ladies I need your advice. My blood pressure has been slightly elevated (137/97 on multiple occasions), and my doctor has classified me as high-risk for preeclampsia. They're recommending induction this coming Tuesday at 38 weeks of pregnancy. However, I have the option to delay. Has anyone experienced induct...
Tips to deal with contractions? I’m finding them so strong but hospital won’t allow me to go in until I hit 3 contractions in 10 minutes and I’m still at 4mins apart so any tips to dull the pains or get through them easier?
Not the scar itself, but the area around 2 inches above my c section scar often times itches, it has been like this ever since I had the section, and when I start itching I just don’t want to stop. It’s weird because it feels numb too, I remember leaning against something cold, and the area felt numb. Anybody else i...
