Itchy area above c section after 1 year

Not the scar itself, but the area around 2 inches above my c section scar often times itches, it has been like this ever since I had the section, and when I start itching I just don’t want to stop. It’s weird because it feels numb too, I remember leaning against something cold, and the area felt numb. Anybody else i...

Early Labour Signs?

Currently 40w and I’m experiencing irregular period like cramps. When I feel the cramps, my belly tightens like I’m experiencing Braxton hicks. Not sure if this is my body dilating? Was at my OB last week and was 0cm dilated, went today but didn’t receive a cervical check as I was told not much can change in a week....

Waters broken

So just wanted some advice as I'm kinda freaking out!! My waters went at 12pm this afternoon, I've been to triage she confirmed it was my waters, I chose to go home for the 24 hours to hopefully see if labour comes naturally. If it doesn't I have to go back to labour ward tomorrow at 12 pm for 'accelerated labour' w...

Sex after c-section

I am 5 weeks post c-section, me and my partner have had a conversation about having penetrative sex. I’m not quite ready yet which he is respecting. I am feeling quite anxious about it, I’m not really sure why, I think I’m worried about my scar externally and internally. I do want to do it and my partner isn’t pus...

2nd birth question

Are there any midwives on here or maybe someone’s who’s been in this situation? I’ve found out I’m pregnant again and had an episiotomy with my first, will this split second time around? Is it best to go for a c-section? The recovery was so rough and I’m still having issues with it now 😫, so really apprehensive…

Membrane sweep

So I did a membrane sweep today at 37 weeks 6 days. My doctor says that I am 4 cm dilated and 70% effaced. What are some things I can do to help progress my labor? Not feeling any contractions yet just some period cramps here and there. How long did you go into labor after having a membrane sweep or being 4 cm dilated?

Has anyone else’s little one been hospitalised with RSV this season? We’re on our third night in hospital 😩 hopefully out tomorrow. If you had to go to hospital, how long were you there for, and how long until your little one was completely better? Pic of my little one enjoying her sausage roll and banana in her bed…

Natural ways to induce labour

I've had my induction date for thr 27th November however I've had a previous c section which I know comes with additional risks plus who wants extra pain?! So I want to try and induce labour naturally if possible. Any ideas? Obviously won't start until I'm 37 weeks😅

C section scar

I'm a larger lady since having my son and my tummy overhangs my c section scar therefore it doesn't get alot of air. I looked down at it last night and was shocked to see it was red raw & had a rash around it. I did feel it slightly pull yesterday when playing with my son, so don't know whether this is the reason or...

First c section coming up and nerves are really kicking in.

Ok, the big day is almost here. Tuesday 12 and I am lying in my bed awake and just getting nervous about the needle going into my spine and how my daughter and I will manage. I know the fear is normal. I have no choice but to keep going. I’m trying to get some rest before it. But I have moments when my brain fixates...

When is everyone driving again?

I'm 2 weeks post c section. My husband goes back to work on Monday. I am itching to have independence back and being able to go to the shop or park when I want. When did everyone else drive again? Is anyone waiting until 6 weeks?
