How is everyone recovering from their c sections? I had a vaginal birth but already thinking about a second baby 😆 I’m thinking I’d like a section next time as my birth and recovery wasn’t something I’d like to experience again putting it mildly. Thought I’d ask everyone about their experience while it’s still fresh…
I just had my show/ mucous plug. I’m 40+2 and had a cervical exam today. Not a stretch or sweep as I declined it, just an exam. Is that why I’ve lost my plug?
Can I please have your positive induction stories if you have previously been induced at 37 weeks. I have GD managed with metformin and Insulin, after my growth scan today baby girl has dropped centiles and stalled growth so induction at 37 weeks has been advised which I am fine with but I'm also very nervous!
Hi, just looking for help really. I had my c-section just over 6 weeks ago. I was bleeding but not much for a few weeks then it stopped completely. However almost a week now i’ve been bleeding again but it’s getting worse now not better. I’ve got quite a bit of pain on one side. I was just in hospital with an infect...
I've been told baby needs to be out by 38-39 weeks, so from 37 weeks I'm trying everything possible to avoid induction. My midwife is giving me sweeps BUT what other ways have people felt helped labour? I can't have raspberry leaf tea apparently as I had a c section less than 2 years ago. Can't really have a lot of ...
Anyone else with a newborn and toddler at home - how are you coping 🥲🥹
Has anyone been induced before? What was it like ? X
I’ve been feeling really off all day today and yesterday. Really crampu and almost like my period is going to start 😅 I’ve also been losing my mucus plug all morning 😅🙈 I contacted my doctor to see but has anyone else experiencing this, this early? I’m 35 weeks + 2 days.
I was reviewing the sample election ballot and have a question. There are a few office elections with only one candidate. If I don't support that candidate, should I leave the space blank? Also, how is the decision made? Does that candidate need to receive a certain number of votes to be elected? If they don’t recei...
How soon after a C-section is it safe to get pregnant again? NHS seems to suggest 18 months but that seems like a long time if I want babies close together.. Any experience please? How did the birth go after? Another C or VBAC? Any issues with placenta or similar? Thank you!
My tummy's still a bit numb but it's wearing off. But I'm having pain if I touch or poke my stomach, around my belly button and below. Anyone else experienced this as the numbness wears off?
So I'm currently 40 + 2 weeks and I'm done with being pregnant and nothing seems to be helping with getting him started , I haven't had any contracts / Braxton hicks since my last appointment but baby boy is 100% healthy but I'm mainly just done with all the appointments for my self and my hubby has been over the p...
Hi everyone, I’ve recently had a positive pregnancy test so now in the stage of working out what hospital to self refer to. Does anyone have and recommendations? I think my closest ones are the Whittington or the Royal Free
Hi everyone, I’ve recently had a positive pregnancy test so now in the stage of working out what hospital to self refer to. Does anyone have and recommendations? I think my closest ones are the Whittington, Barnet or the Royal Free (planning to avoid North Mid which is actually my closest)
What does everyone recommend to take for the hospital? I wear UK 18 knickers usually from M&S, the big ones that go to your belly button! Should I bring them with maternity pads, disposable knickers or period knickers (big ones from M&S again)?
Our little girl Helena was born at 41+2 on the 19th, 7lbs 11oz, 55cm, healthy and well🥰 Literally nothing went according to plans, but the midwifes and doctors at Queen Elizabeth Woolwich was excellent, and I never once felt out of control. My water broke on 18th 00:30 AM when I already had strong irregular…
40+4 and no signs of baby or labor near though I’ve been doing everything from dates and raspberry tea to stretching and sex Is this normal with first baby? When should I be concerned? I still haven’t had any bloody show or lost my mucus plug so idk if going to the hospital is pointless From a restless and impa...
Hello! I worked with a midwife group in NY last year for my pregnancy and then birth with my first born, but moved to Dallas this summer. Does anyone have experience working with a midwife or midwife group here in Dallas? Thanks in advance!
