Does anyone know if you can carry the baby in a wrap if you have had a c-section?
I’m 38+3 my midwife attempted a sweep today but couldn’t find my cervix does this mean labour is far away 😫 had a little bit of pink/light brown after it but think it’s just caused me a bit of irritation. Any positive stories?
If you have a partner, at how many weeks are you going to ask them not to go out in case you need them to take you to hospital? My husband has a boys night this Friday and it’s long overdue and I want him to go and have fun, I’ll be 37 weeks. Do you think we can risk that? I wouldn’t be able to just jump in an ambu...
I tried warm bath, using ball. She also told me to take Benadryl so I can sleep that didn’t help at all I was having contractions while laying down 😓 I feel so exhausted and wish I could sleep
Hi! Just looking for some positive outcomes as I’m opting for a planned C section (due to various reasons) and looking to hear some positive stories from C section mummas from GWH? ☺️
Has anyone got any experience with this? I will be 40 weeks on Sunday, with my midwife appointment on the Monday. My baby is measuring large and when I went for a sweep yesterday they told me my cervix was quite long and still fully closed so the sweep couldn’t be performed. The longer my pregnancy goes on, the mor...
I’m wondering if anyone else has had this, I’m a bigger woman anyway so after having my c-section 5 weeks ago I’ve got a pretty big overhang, I’m cleaning my belly 2-3 times a day drying it and leaving it to air out but it’s still rubbing and it’s very sore, I’m wondering if anyone has any advice on what to do? I’ve...
My c section location has moved from QEQM to William Harvey as there has been no space at QEQM before my actual due date. Never been so William Harvey so not sure if you need to share recovery room with anyone after C section or if they have a recliner chair in recovery for partners.
so i'm currently 40+6 and had an induction booked for 2 days time, my midwife has just phoned to say there is a bed available for me to come in tonight instead so i decided to go for it. i've already been contracting regularly since 12:10am on saturday morning so hoping this will speed up the process? so so exhauste...
I had my 28 week appointment with the consultant today and she agreed that a section is the right approach. She asked if I wanted more children, but I know this is the last one. She suggested that sterilisation can happen during the section. Has anyone else had this done? Pros and cons? I've tried various methods o...
Hiya, does anyone have a list of what they are putting there hospital bag and baby’s hospital bag, am having a c section so not sure if that differs - thanks! X
Question for those who planned to have a vbac - did you have an induction using dilapan rods? Did the rods work? If they didn’t work? what happened next? Did you have a successful vbac or did you need another c-section?
How long after a c section is safe to exercise? When is it likely to be safe? When can you start to re-engage with stomach muscles safely? Any exercise recommendations for c section moms? Thanks
If you've had kids before, how long before your bloody show did you go into labour and give birth?
Do you believe in not bringing the pram and car seat into the house before baby is born? I have nowhere else to store it as everyone is busy or moving before baby is born 😅🤦🏼♀️
Im in the hospital for my second Csection, and i requested a semi specific placement of my IV line, and the nurse was surprised, so now im curious. Where do you prefer yours to be?
If you opted for induction because of being overdue or uncomfortable *not for a medical reason* please help a girl out and advise when you had it booked for? Having doubts!!
Tmi so apologies in advance. I've just gone to the toilet and when I wiped I had what I thought was just discharge but it was really thick and jelly like. There wasn't loads but I'm really panicking. I had sex yesterday for the first time pretty much since conceiving and was a bit sore last night but surely it's...
My water just broke, this the 1st time it ever happened to me with all my pregnancies and at 38 weeks!

I’ve been loosing bits of my mucus plug but haven’t had any blood in any of the “bits” that come out.. however I’m having some cramping and a really sore back. Just wondering if anyone has gone into labour without having blood in their mucus plug?
