Hi everyone, was wondering if anyone knows about uc and if you start studying full time, do they close your claim?
If your LO goes to nursery how many days/hours do they do? I can’t help but feel guilty for sending him in general he goes twice a week and gets very upset.
So I know it’s really early but I’m an overthinking planner. Has anyone been looking at nurseries/childcare yet? Has anyone had any tours. I’m just worried I don’t want to miss out on places but think I need to wait as little girl isn’t here yet
We’ve got our daughter enrolled at nursery for 3 full days from January but haven’t yet had to finalise which days they will be. Does anyone have any advice or recommendations about whether 3 days in a row are better and helps them settle quicker/adjust to having a new routine, or break up the week by having the day...
This might be a stupid question but say you pay for nursery 7am-6pm every day, do you have drop off and pick up at that time or when suits you? Say I finish work at lunch can I just go and pick him up? 😂😂 (He hasn’t started yet)
For those that have been homeschooling for longer, what has helped to get kids to write nicer instead of chicken scratch? I need help for my 7 year old boy! Do you get them to just do tracing over and over?
Who leave their babies in daycare??! I’ve been trying to work for the past couple of months but I feel stuck because I don’t really have trustworthy family that live near me so my only option is daycare but I’m soo scared of something happening to her or some treating her bad, how do you guys do this ?!!!
Hey has anyone else had this issue? I always add my childcare costs to UC on the day I pay them so always reported on time they haven’t paid it . So I'm now left with an underpayment for of 2 months. I just don’t understand it I keep leaving journal messages . It’s seems like they’re not doing anything about it.
I haven’t even thought about applying. I’m going back to work soon for 2 days a week and my mum doesn’t work so she’ll have her for the 2 days but everyone I know is talking about putting their LO in nursery or signing up for the year after (when they’re nearly 2) Does every single baby normally go nursery at 2?!
So I’m currently a SAHM and my daughter is about to turn 1. I’m looking to go back to work when she’s about 18 months, I’m wondering is it best to apply for the funded hours and find a nursery first or to find a job first? I’ll only be looking for something part time, maybe 2-3 shifts per week max.
I’m 26 and never graduated high school and I’ve finally decided to go back st get my GED. I’m pretty smart, the only subject I’ve ever had issues with is math. Anyone take the GED test and can tell me what the math portion is like? Or any of the tests😭
My 3 year old currently gets 15 hours free childcare, she is eligible for 30 hours from January, does anybody know ow how we apply for the additional 15 hours as can’t find out how to do it!
Hi Guys! My little one is starting her full day at Nursery tomorrow. The 2 settling in sessions shes had were a bit tearful. Just posting on here for people to share their experiences as I feel like a terrible mum!
This might sound stupid but what questions should I be asking nurseries when looking to find one? I tend to go off of my intuition and the feel I get of the place when there but they asked me what questions I had and I came up with blanks! I asked about how they deal with children misbehaving, what their views on ...
We are looking to move house next year. We are lucky to have grandparents look after our little boy at the moment but when we move this could change. My commute to work will increase to around 15-20 miles but I only do 2 full days in the office. If we decide on nursery, but hat time we could be eligible for 15-30 ho...
Anyone else's nursery have a high staff turnover? Just wanting to see if this is normal x
March babies when is best time to do nursery/buy furniture? I’m one of those that doesn’t have anything for the baby in the house as don’t want any bad luck 🤣 but don’t want to leave the nursery too late 🫣
I’m trying to decide between daycare and in home nannying. I’m leaning more towards daycare because the nanny’s on care.com are quoting crazy high prices. For part time nannying I’m looking at ~$1700 a month 💀. Some seemingly nice Montessori daycares in the area are around 1k/month. I’m wondering if my 1 year old…
