BLW & Puree Weaning

We started weaning yesterday, I just did some puréed broccoli which she gagged at first but then seemed to really enjoy it. I really want to do a combi approach with some puree and finger food but I’m so terrified of choking! Anyone doing combi or BLW how are you getting on and can you put my mind at ease because I ...

Breakfast

Hi all, my baby hates to be spoon fed and has done really well with BLW since 6 months (currently 10.5 months). He won’t eat any porridge or weetabix for breakfast and so he tends to have something on toast, banana pancakes or fruit and yoghurt for breakfast. He used to enjoy porridge bars that I would make but now ...

Boy will only eat junk

Not strictly boy related… but does anyone else’s 3yo just refuse to eat bloody anytttthing. It’s so frustrating. Even more so when he will actually try something one day and I think *score, I’ll get more for him!* and then suddenly he refuses to ever eat it again. Ugggh. I just feel like I’m failing him when he s...

Weaning- slow progress?

Hi, my baby girl is now 7months and I’ve probably given her about 8 different veg purees so far ( as well as in stick form on the side each time for BLW also). She had a little issue with her health and I was advised to pause weaning, and then got so busy with other serious matters in my life. I gave her some swede ...

Using cutlery

Hi, when should my boy be using a spoon by himself? He doesn't even seem close to being able to use it, he'll hold it by the handle and by the other end and doesn't show signs of knowing how to use it. Any advice for teaching them how to spoon feed themselves please?

Gagging when eating.

I know it’s perfectly normal & ‘ok’ for baby to gag when eating solids but does anyone else really struggle watching it? My whole body goes into panic mode. I try to not let me little one pick up on it of course as I don’t want them to panic but god, I’m finding it really difficult. I also feel an immense feeling ...
