Date has been set for C section

Had appt today, and C section date, has been set! Although I’ve been warned babies could come at any point now so to be prepared. Eeek, now starting to sound and feel very real (& scary). Has anyone else had their C section dates set..?

C section

Whilst I am high risk, my consultant confirmed that I don’t need to be induced early. Does anyone know if I can request a c section the week I am due if baby doesn’t come naturally by 40 weeks or do I have to wait until 40+7?

This was because baby never dropped into my pelvis so they were worried about chord prolapse, so very risky if my waters were to break…. Cur...
