Birth certificate

Hey mamas! Quick question. How long did it take you to get your baby’s birth certificate? Bonus points if you live in VA. Baby was born in late January and we’re still waiting. Is this normal?

Thoughts on this 👇

I’m being recommended to have an induction at 39 weeks due to gestational hypertension. They are even talking about doing it sooner (I’m 38 weeks today - medication is keeping it below 140/90 but only just) I asked what all my options were. The other option was to wait and see but have daily monitoring. I don’t w...

C-section

I’m booked in for my elective section on Tuesday & was told I’d receive my letter in the post, I haven’t got it yet & Royal Mail aren’t always reliable 🥴 I can’t get through to anyone to scan it over by email/give me further info. All I can see on my pregnancy notes is the date and it says 7:30am is this the time…

Induction vs. Scheduled C-section?

So, due to already established type 2 diabetes (not gestational), my doctor wants to induce me about 2 weeks earlier by late May. So far, baby is average size, which is more common with those with already established diabetes vs. gestational (where they usually are bigger). My question is, what has your experience...

Breech Position at 31+6 Weeks

Hello ladies, I'm looking for someone to put my mind at peace. I'm pregnant with my second, and I've just been told that the baby is not having the right way. They did mention that in most cases, the baby flips the right was my around, but I'm worried now as I really don't want a c-section. In fact, I was hoping f...

Third Trimester Girlies 🫶🏼

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all enjoying your pregnancy! I’ve been informed I will have a small baby and therefore I am now going for growth scans every 3 weeks. I am now 31 weeks and nesting is definitely kicking in with the news that my baby is going to be on the smaller side and delivery may be as early as 37 week...

Vbac or planned section

Question for any mommas who had an emergency section with no1. What are your thoughts for birth no2? I was set on vbac before getting pregnant but now I’m leaning more towards planned section. Just wondering what other people’s thoughts are? I’m very nervous and scared of both but I have to choose one 😂

C section or vbac

I had an emergency c section in September after a week long failed induction (only got to 2cm even on hormone drip). I still don't think i could go through with a c section unless it was emergency and I had too (somthing about willingly doing it makes me feel panicked and worried I'd freak out - if it's emergency th...

Is it best to have an AM or PM slot for a C-section?

My first was at 8 pm(emergency) this time would be elective, how is the experience on breaking the day with a daytime C-section is it best to have the 7 am slot or 12 pm? I assume if you get the 12 pm slot you might end up having a late afternoon one as they allocate the slots in priority order!

Why is it that some people in general, some vaginal birth moms and even some c-sections moms look down on c-sections. Some even getting depressed because they couldn't get a vaginal birth. What did you have?

if you do, why do you think c-sections are so inferior. All opinions welcome. Genuinely would like to know. Never understood this hierarchy people try to put each on.

Baby Boy Was Born

It was a lot. Started contracting around 5am. Water broke at5:30pm with the miles circuit routine. Went to the hospital and hour later, was at 2cm. At around 10:30pm I was 5cm, 95% effaced, +1 station, no epidural. I had planned for a natural unmedicated birth. I ended up having the urge to push, which I shouldn’t...

Where you given blood thinning injections to take at home after your c-section?

Just intrigued really, I was given injections to do at home for 6 weeks post birth, not entirely sure why and because I didn’t know any different at the time I didn’t ask.

Pregnancy after c section

I am now 19 months PP form my first. We are starting to try again for our second. I had an emergency c-section & it was pretty traumatic for me. I had a hard time talking about it for awhile, & every once in awhile I still have a hard time with it. I am REALLY trying for a VBAC next time. 1) I’m so nervous about...

Possible delivery at 34 weeks

Hi so I was told today that I may have to deliver at 34 weeks. I will be 33 weeks on Saturday. I have gestational diabetes and am on insulin and we just found out baby is measuring small. They think the placenta is failing so I just want to know if anyone has ever delivered around 34 weeks with a baby weighing under...

GD birth options

Hi all! Just wondering if there was anyone that chose an elective c section who also had GD? I was pretty set on this being my chosen option however meeting with the consultant today I feel like they tried to talk me out of it saying it's more risky for the baby! So currently feeling a little conflicted!
