Birth story

Baby girl arrived Sept 12. ❤️ I started having contractions at 2 am on the 10. Got up to use the bathroom around 3 and realize I was bleeding so I woke my husband up and I called L&D ( first baby so I was scared). They said it’s fine and I don’t need to come in. My contractions last the whole day. It was inconsist...

Contractions Started

Eeeeek my contractions started at about 5am this morning I’m pretty sure! They started as back labour contractions about every 10 minutes. They haven’t really progressed since then in terms of being more frequent and are still about every 10 mins. Not sure what to do at this point 😅

Mucus plug

Hey so I’m 38+3 weeks and just lost my mucus plug, prior to this I have been experiencing bad cramping for the past 2ish weeks. Is this a good indication of labour? How long after losing your plug did you go into labour? Thanks :)

So.. it could only happen to me. I've come from the September group, been hoping for a vbac but was due a section this morning as baby has obviously been quite comfortable. Is this early labor or just totally normal and the baby won’t come for a couple more weeks?

Currently, I’m 37 + 3. So while sleeping I woke up to pee because I was experiencing pain and then I felt ALOT of pain in my public area and what felt like a contraction of sorts, I almost fell over. Then it went away once I got back into bed. Maybe experienced the same thing an hour later. Then baby started moving ...

Got the news that I might have to get a C Section :(

Hi Mamas, I had the weekly check up today (I’m 36weeks + 1day) and the baby’s head is still up. The baby has really grown in size, I think she mentioned he’s 7pounds now. I think that’s making it difficult for him to make a flip now? Anyways, for the past one week my BP has consistently risen and the doctor said it...

My previous pregnancies have been high risk due to Hypermesis…

Looking for birthing class recommendations

Hey mamas, This is my second child and I did not like how the first one went. I was told I may be able to do a VBAC so I would like to be prepared. I’m not sure how many people watch nurse Jen Hamilton on here(she’s on TikTok) but she mentioned a pushing technique that is supposed to be MUCH better/effective at b...

C section or natural?

I’m hoping to get a bit of advice from those with experience! I know the midwife’s advice and pros vs. Cons for baby but I just wondered what the experience of each one really is? Is the recovery of C Section really as tough as it sounds and can you really get back up and moving (relatively) quickly after natural?...
