38 weeks 3 days

I've been passing parts of my mucus plug for a couple days now (lost a part of it over a week ago as well) but today I passed a bigger piece with a tinge of blood in it. I've been mildly crampy in my back but haven't felt any contractions other than the occasional Braxton Hicks, which haven't been painful up to this...

Sweating

Can anyone tell me if it’s normal, I’m nearly 10 weeks post c section and I’m constantly getting hot flushes and sweating really bad , even now with the cold weather coming I find it hard to stick when the heat is on in the house and I get really hot and flustered. Anyone?

Trisomy 21

Hello Mamas, we just did our amniocentesis and it’s positive for downs. I’m in total overwhelm. We already have three young children, I do virtually all the parenting on my own and just started a Masters program. I’m 15.5 weeks. Just wanted to come on here and say I’m totally lost. Side note this pregnancy was unexp...

Elective C-Section stigma

*Long Post* It wasn’t until I became pregnant and chose an elective C-section, that I realized there is a huge stigma from other mothers when you choose to voluntarily have a C-section. I remember posting asking for tips on recovery etc and I would get comments saying “why would you choose that?” Or “but our bodies...

C-section recovery

So I’m still only 26weeks pregnant and I am hoping to have a natural birth, however on the possibility that I may end up needing a c-section, what is the recovery like when being overweight and with an apron belly? I’d be concerned about it not healing properly because it would never really get much air to it, it’s ...

C section wound hurting more at 3 weeks than 2. Is this normal?

I felt good 10 days in and not in pain but now at 3 weeks my stomach feels like it has regained sensation and everything near to the wound feels tight. Is it normal for it to hurt more as it heals?

Elective C-section mamas

Did you get a choice of dates? How long were you in hospital for? What did you wear to go home? Guessing something very loose! How long until you felt more ‘normal’? How difficult was it if you already have a 2 year old?

Induction questions 🤞🏼🩷

I know each hospital will be different, but if anyone can share their experiences or help me with these questions please: • After your admission time how long do you usually wait before the first ‘treatment’ is given? • Is your birth partner allowed to stay with you or is it visiting hours only or are there cases w...

What to do about contractions??

Hey guys, I’m 34 w rn and I have been have really bad contractions for the past two days, the first day I had to go to L&D because of how bad they were. They gave me muscle relaxers, told me I was 1 cm dilated on the outside cervix and sent me on my way. Even with the muscle relaxers they’ve been pretty bad, they c...

C section mommas

At my 20 week appointment my doctor and I discussed a c section due to my uterine inversion with my daughter that nearly killed me. She basically said to me if I don't wanna play Russian roulette with my life than a c section is the way to go and they would not fight me on that. Im due in March. so my question is ho...

Question

Can anyone please explain to me what happens at your 41 week OB appointment? And how long after you’re 41 weeks will you be offered to be induced? Feel like I’m not gonna have my baby on or around my due date and just don’t know what to expect after I’m 40 weeks

Small Growth Average

This is my second baby (first is only a year old), and I am seeing sooo many people post about how their baby has decreased in growth by a lot. I’m in the same boat with mine being 2nd percentile now and I’m under fetal medicine talking about delivering early, and my first was 53rd. What on earth is happening? I fee...

I think my water broke but I’m not feeling contractions…..

Im sure it wasn’t pee 😅 liquid came down a few times 3 different times. It’s clear…. I’m starting to feel some pain but don’t really recognize as contractions. I’m not sure if I should get going or go back to laying down.

I have a bmi of 40 and have been put as ‘high risk’. I was wondering if anyone who else has been in this position gave birth naturally, planned or unplanned c section or was induced. Been trying to google but just end up getting more over whelmed by the whole thing! 😫
